If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.                If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing.                If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing.                Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with.

Love One Another

Below are excerpts from letters sent to our editorial office by couples who have decided to join MPHMC.

We would like to join the Movement for Pure Hearts for Married Couples so that the pledge we made to God in the Prayer of Pure Hearts may serve us as a road sign for the rest of our life. We know that there is no way of avoiding suffering and hardship in life. We yearn to have our own house and are suffering health problems, but we believe that in trusting and persevering in the love of God, the two of us will achieve the goal of our marriage, which is holiness. Danuta & Peter;

Please enrol us in MPHMC. We know that the blessing Jesus sends us will strengthen our faith, help us to raise our children correctly, and bear fruit in every area of our life — including our financial situation. Anna & Christopher;

The gift of joining MPHMC is Jesus’ answer to my prayer. For two years I prayed more and more fervently that we not offend Jesus with our sterile love, for I was becoming increasingly convinced that interrupted intercourse was a sin.

I invited Jesus into the very area of our life where sin was driving Him out. I learned that Jesus desires us to entrust Him with our poverty. I invited Him in my life, into our life, and to remain with us every second of the day and night. I said to Him: “Jesus, if our lovemaking is displeasing to you, then take it away from me according to your will.” For Jesus’ sake, I even agreed that my husband should never again desire my love, if such love offended God. Many times I repeated these words to Jesus. But instead of taking this love away, He only made it more beautiful, and me so much happier. Maria;

Ours is a marriage barely one month old, for it was a month ago that we said our sacramental yes to each other and God. Before that we had been members of the Movement of Pure Hearts. Every day we invite Jesus into our marriage. We want to build our life together on Him.

Catherine & Janusz;
