Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you                Pray without ceasing                For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you                And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him                Through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God                Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven                Verily I say unto you, It is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven                It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God

Every woman who has had an abortion needs overall healing, in the spiritual and psychophysical domains. Essential conditions in this process are clinging utterly to Jesus.

Healing from post-abortion syndrome

For the Lord Jesus, nothing is impossible. His mercy is infinite. Jesus forgives every sin and heals the greatest, most painful wounds. All you have to do is surrender yourself to His healing treatment in the sacraments of confession and the Eucharist, and commit to assiduous daily prayer. The Lord Jesus’ prescription is simple: 1. Daily recitation of the Rosary, reading Holy Scripture and praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. 2. Daily Eucharist. 3. Regular practice of the sacrament of confession with a regular confessor, and taking care to remain in a state of grace.

Every woman who has had an abortion needs overall healing, in the spiritual and psychophysical domains. Essential conditions in this process are clinging utterly to Jesus and reconciling with the deceased child in the sacraments of confession and the Eucharist.

In order to begin Jesus’ treatment for post-abortion syndrome, the first condition is contrition, standing before God in truth and sincere regret for your sins in the sacrament of penance. Next, the following steps are recommended: 1. Imagine your deceased child being in Jesus’ presence. 2. Make yourself aware of the Lord Jesus embracing both you and your child with great love. 3. Ask the Lord to tell you what gender your child is. 4. Give him or her a name. 5. Ask him or her to forgive you for the abortion. 6. Accept the forgiveness of Jesus and your child. 7. Forgive yourself, just as Jesus has forgiven you. 8. Offer your child your love. 9. Ask the Lord Jesus to heal all the wounds of your heart and to heal the relationship with your child.

If all these steps are offered up in a Eucharist celebrated with an intention for the parents and the child, then Christ will certainly perform the complete healing of everyone who is suffering from the post-abortion syndrome. In his book Healing the Family Tree, Dr Kenneth McAll writes about more than 600 miraculous healings that he has documented which took place during Eucharists celebrated for the intention of children killed by abortion, stillborn, miscarried or rejected by their mothers after birth. Dr McAll confirms that whenever a Eucharist was celebrated for the intention of those children, the effect was astonishing. The healing power of the Eucharist reached not only those directly involved, but also people who were complicit in the death of the child, who were in psychiatric hospitals even hundreds of kilometres away. During these Eucharists, Jesus Christ healed people from the most serious, sometimes hopeless, cases of psychiatric and nervous disorders.

St John Paul II to women who have committed abortion

I would now like to say a special word to women who have had an abortion. The Church is aware of the many factors which may have influenced your decision, and she does not doubt that in many cases it was a painful and even shattering decision. The wound in your heart may not yet have healed. Certainly what happened was and remains terribly wrong. But do not give in to discouragement and do not lose hope. Try rather to understand what happened and face it honestly. If you have not already done so, give yourselves over with humility and trust to repentance. The Father of mercies is ready to give you his forgiveness and his peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. To the same Father and his mercy you can with sure hope entrust your child. With the friendly and expert help and advice of other people, and as a result of your own painful experience, you can be among the most eloquent defenders of everyone’s right to life. Through your commitment to life, whether by accepting the birth of other children or by welcoming and caring for those most in need of someone to be close to them, you will become promoters of a new way of looking at human life.

Jesus forgives every sin and heals the greatest, most painful wounds. All you have to do is surrender yourself to His healing treatment in the sacraments of confession and the Eucharist

(John Paul II, encyclical Evangelium vitae, 99)
