...transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can't enter.
Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
Therefore a lion out of the forest shall kill them, a wolf of the evenings shall destroy them, a leopard shall watch against their cities; everyone who goes out there shall be torn in pieces; because their transgressions are many, and their backsliding is increased.
Two million people died with coronavirus last year, and 42 million died of abortions.

In those days also saw I the Jews who had married women of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab: and their children spoke half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.
I contended with them, and cursed them, and struck certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, "You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons, or for yourselves.
Didn't Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations was there no king like him, and he was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless foreign women caused even him to sin.
Shall we then listen to you to do all this great evil, to trespass against our God in marrying foreign women?"
Yahweh said to Joshua, "Get up! Why are you fallen on your face like that?
Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.
Therefore the children of Israel can't stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.
...that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment;
True peace of heart, then, is found in resisting passions, not in satisfying them.
There is no peace in the carnal man, in the man given to vain attractions, but there is peace in the fervent and spiritual man.
WHEN a man desires a thing too much, he at once becomes ill at ease.
And bury me decently, and your mother with me; but delay no longer at Nineveh. Remember, my son, how Aman handled Achiacharus, who brought him up; how out of light he brought him into darkness, and how he took notice of him again.
The Book of Tobit 14:10
Do not do to any man the things which you yourself hate.
The Book of Tobit 4:15
Yahweh said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?
If you do well, will it not be lifted up? If you don't do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it."
Turn away your eye from a comely woman, And gaze not on another's beauty: By the beauty of a woman many have been led astray; And herewith love is kindled as a fire.
When the soul parts from its body and desires to go to its Creator in heaven, the evil spirits prevent the soul and show to it its sins. If the soul has done more good deeds than evil, they cannot keep it; but if the sins outweigh the good deeds, they keep the soul for some time, shut it up in the prison where it cannot know God, and torment it as much as God's power allows them, until that soul, by means of prayers of the Church and good deeds done for its sake by those who are still on earth, should be granted forgiveness.
In all your matters remember your last end, And you will never do amiss.
Nothing so mars and defiles the heart of man as impure attachment to created things.
For the hope of the unthankful will melt as the winter's hoar frost, And will flow away as water that has no use.
The Wisdom of Solomon 16:29
Exalt not yourself in the counsel of your soul; That your soul be not torn in pieces as a bull.
"'What's it like,' Karla asked me once, 'cold turkey off heroin?' I tried to explain it. 'Think about every time in your life that you've ever been afraid, really afraid. Someone sneaks up behind you when you think you're alone, and shouts to frighten you. The gang of thugs closes in around you. You fall from a great height in a dream, or you stand on the very edge of a steep cliff. Someone holds you under water and you feel the breath gone, and you scramble, fight, and claw your way to the surface. You lose control of the car and see the wall rushing into your soundless shout. Then add them all up, all those chest-tightening terrors, and feel them all at once, all at the same time, hour after hour, and day after day. And think of every pain you've ever known—the burn with hot oil, the sharp sliver of glass, the broken bone, the gravel rash when you fell on the rough road in winter, the headache and the earache and the toothache. Then add them all up, all those groin-squeezing, stomach-tensing shrieks of pain, and feel them all at once, hour after hour, and day after day. Then think of every anguish you've ever known. Remember the death of a loved one. Remember a lover's rejection. Recall your feelings of failure and shame and unspeakably bitter remorse. And add them all up, all the heart-stabbing griefs and miseries, and feel them all at once, hour after hour, and day after day. That's cold turkey. Cold turkey off heroin is life with the skin torn away.'"

Sin always causes suffering.
Father Alexander - a Catholic Priest
If you have opened your mouth against a friend, fear not; For there may be a reconciling; Except it be for upbraiding, and arrogance, and disclosing of a secret, and a treacherous blow: For these things every friend will flee.
My son, have you sinned? add no more thereto; And make supplication for your former sins.
Flee from sin as from the face of a serpent; For if you draw near it will bite you: The teeth thereof are the teeth of a lion, Slaying the souls of men.
All iniquity is as a two-edged sword; Its stroke has no healing.
After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined himself with Ahaziah king of Israel. The same did very wickedly:
and he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish; and they made the ships in Ezion Geber.
Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, "Because you have joined yourself with Ahaziah, Yahweh has destroyed your works." The ships were broken, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
The Second Book of Chronicles 20:35-37
One that casts a stone on high casts it on his own head; And a deceitful stroke will open wounds.
He that digs a pit will fall into it; And he that sets a snare will be taken therein.
He that does evil things, they will roll upon him, And he will not know whence they have come to him.
Mockery and reproach are from the arrogant; And vengeance, as a lion, will lie in wait for him.
They that rejoice at the fall of the godly will be taken in a snare; And anguish will consume them before they die.
Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe; but one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.
He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
"There is no peace," says Yahweh, "for the wicked."
"Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, 'Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, but have walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and have made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the prostitute, like the house of Ahab did, and also have slain your brothers of your father's house, who were better than yourself: behold, Yahweh will strike with a great plague your people, and your children, and your wives, and all your substance; and you shall have great sickness by disease of your bowels, until your bowels fall out by reason of the sickness, day by day.'"
The Second Book of Chronicles 21:12-15
Woe to us! for we have sinned.
Pray for us also to the Lord our God, for we have sinned against the Lord our God; and until this day the fury of the Lord and his wrath has not turned from us.
The Book of Baruch 1:13
While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
Yahweh said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp." All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as Yahweh commanded Moses.
To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn't do it, to him it is sin.
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if there may be a lengthening of your tranquility.
Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their way and by their doings: their way before me was as the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.
